ELDA brings together experts from over 30 countries.
Our co-founder Mirza Chiragov has been approved by the Action’s Management Committee to join four of its Working Groups:
— Better Regulation, Better Communication, Better Outcomes
— Better Contracts, Better Communication, Better Outcomes
— AI and Digital Tools
— Dissemination, Exploitation and Capacity Building
So what is ELDA about? It starts from a simple, honest observation. Laws, regulations and contracts across Europe have become so complex that they often get in the way of the very people they are meant to serve. ELDA brings together lawyers, designers, technologists, policymakers and businesses to change that, using legal design, plain language and AI to make law clearer, fairer and actually usable.
For us, this feels like a natural next step. We have been championing legal design for years, long before it was a buzzword in our region.
Last year we also took that work to the Legal Design Summit in Helsinki, one of the key gatherings of the global legal design community. Sharing our experience from Azerbaijan on that stage convinced us that our region has a real voice in this conversation.
Now we get to bring that experience into a pan-European network. The Action is just getting started, and we can’t wait to get to work. If you are part of ELDA too, let’s connect!
